I tagged along my parents’ Sinulog trip this year. And needless to say, it was quite an experience! I’m still exhausted from all the walkathons around the city, not to mention, sunburned, too! LOL. But really, it was just nice to see a festival like that.
This was taken at the Mactan-Mandaue bridge where we watched the Fluvial parade yesterday. The sun was still just a few minutes after rising that time, thus, the panda beanie. XD
"More than 100 boats joined the Sto. Niño fluvial procession that started after 6 a.m. on Saturday as hundreds of devotees lined the port area from Ouano Wharf in Mandaue City to the Cebu City port. At Ouano Wharf, devotees released multicolored balloons to greet the Galleon Trinidad, which carried the images of the Sto. Niño and Our Lady of Guadalupe, led by Cebu Archbishop Jose Palma." – Inquirer News, [link]
Only me and Dad went to watch the parade as Mom slept in to reserve energy for the long procession, which we joined also, in the afternoon. It was just so nice that I can make him take my SP shots! Haha. Thanks, Dy! 🙂
