Ash Wednesday marks the start of the Lenten season. And since I haven’t gotten around in searching for the nearest church near the condo, Megamall is my only option. Plus, they have a really pretty chapel.
The mass was schedule at 7:15, I think Iris and I arrived a few minutes before 7PM and the line was already thiiiiiis long. It was just, whoa! Well, that’s good I guess, that many people would still go to the hassles of hearing the mass even if it’s at the mall. Well, admittedly we were a bit hesitant at waiting in line since it was just all the way to the other side of the mall from the atrium down to the far end of Mega B! Tsk. But then again, it’s lent. Sacrifice and patience were the first two things we have to do. And so we did.
I forgot what the lay minister said upon crossing my forehead, but in english as the priest said, “Turn away from sin and believe in the gospel.”
It’s time to be good.
